Who is responsible (controller)

The data we collect

• Enquiry & contact data: when you contact us or use our contact form — your name, email, phone, type of enquiry, your child's level/age if you share it, your preferred language, and the content of your message.
• Advisory data: during an engagement — information about the family and the student necessary to advise you (see the section on student & family data below).
• Technical data: limited information needed to operate and secure the site (e.g. server logs). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Student & family data (including minors)

Our advisory necessarily involves information about a child. This data is provided to us by the parent or legal guardian, who confirms that they have the authority to share it. It may include the student’s name, age, current school and academic history, language level, interests, character and aspirations, and any specific needs you choose to share.

• We use this data solely to understand the student's profile and to provide tailored advisory — never for marketing.
• We share a student's information with schools, camps or third parties only on your instruction or with your explicit consent (for example, to submit an application).
• Any particularly sensitive information (such as health or learning needs) is processed only where you have chosen to share it and with appropriate care.
• You may withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect processing already carried out.

Why we use your data & on what basis

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss whether our advisory is right for you — on the basis of pre-contractual steps taken at your request, and your consent.
• To provide the advisory you engage us for — on the basis of performance of our agreement and your consent for student data.
• To operate, secure and improve the site — on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a safe, functioning website.
• To comply with legal obligations where applicable.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

• Service providers acting on our instructions, such as our website host (Vercel) and our email provider, under appropriate confidentiality and data-processing terms.
• Schools, camps or programmes — only with your consent or on your instruction.
• Authorities or advisers where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers (for example our website host) may process data outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted after [e.g. 12 months]; data relating to an advisory engagement is kept for the duration of the engagement and then for [e.g. X years] to meet our legal and administrative obligations, after which it is securely deleted.

How we protect it

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we limit access to those who need it to advise you.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict its processing, request a copy in a portable format, and withdraw any consent. To exercise these rights, write to arnaud@msh.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU/EEA, your local supervisory authority.
