Academic & learning environment

Founded in 1956, the Lycée Français International de Zurich follows the French national curriculum from maternelle through to the Baccalauréat, including a trilingual international option. Conventioned with the AEFE network, it teaches in French with German and plurilingual pathways. The programme leads pupils to the French Baccalauréat at the end of the lycée.

Student experience

The school gathers more than 1,150 pupils aged 3 to 18, giving it the scale and continuity of a full French education abroad within a Swiss-German setting. Wraparound care runs across a long school day.

Extra-curricular activities

Sports and creative workshops, libraries and on-site facilities support pupils alongside supervised homework help.

Admissions

Families enrol directly through the school's admissions process.

Key strengths
  • French curriculum to Bac
  • AEFE-accredited

Our perspective

French-speaking families in the Zurich area seeking curricular continuity often respond to the LFIZ's AEFE accreditation.

Selecting the right school depends on a careful understanding of the student’s profile and long-term objectives — our advisory work focuses on aligning these elements.
