The Ecole d'Humanité offers parallel pathways: a German-language Swiss Matura programme and an English-language American high-school curriculum with Advanced Placement options. Classes are very small, averaging around six pupils, allowing teaching to be tailored to each student. The school serves the secondary years through to the school-leaving qualifications.
Life is shaped by a close-knit international community of around 110 pupils living and learning together, with students and staff sharing the daily running of the school. The atmosphere is informal, participatory and rooted in the school's progressive educational heritage.
The Alpine location supports skiing, hiking, climbing and mountaineering, while music, the arts, handcrafts and even blacksmithing form part of school life.
